The Plain Truth As with all of Jodi Picoult's stories, there is always a twist at the end of every story, which I feel is very intriguing. It wasn't the best I ever read from Jodi Picoult but it was really good. Following a big city lawyer as she took over a case of an Amish girl accused of murdered her just-born son. During this book, we follow the lawyer Ellie in her search of the plain truth about this case and her life inside the Amish community. Jodi Picoult received an AB in creative writing from Princeton and a master’s degree in education from Harvard. The recipient of the New England Book Award for her entire body of work, she is the author of twenty-seven novels, including the #1 New York Times bestsellers House Rules, Handle With Care, Change of Heart, and My Sister’s Keeper, for which she received the American Library.
